Changes are coming to bulk trash pickup in Sherman!![]()

Beginning May 4, 2026, residents will no longer have to wait for their scheduled week for bulk trash service. Instead, you’ll be able to use the Sherman, TX App to request a pickup anytime (In the first 4 weeks of the month) that is convenient for you.![]()

This is a great improvement and adds another level of customer service for our community. Thank you to Sherman Solid Waste for implementing this change.![]()

I enjoyed stopping by A Touch of Class Antique Mall in Downtown Sherman NOW Sherman, Texas - Classic Town. Broad Horizon.. It was great to tour the business, learn more about its history, and to see all the many antiques and unique items they offer.![]()

Although water has been restored at the majority of the affected homes, there are still some homes without water. The homes without water are dependent on the main line that had a break. The repair on the main line should be complete in a few hours, and water should be restored to the remaining affected homes by the early hours of the morning. ![]()

Most of the affected areas should have water restored. If you do not have full pressure currently, the water pressure will be increasing throughout the evening. Depending on where you live, in relation to the break, it may take longer for water to be restored. Status updates and boil notice updates will be posted to the Sherman, Texas - Classic Town. City crews have located the source of the water main break in southeast Sherman. They will be isolating the leak to the immediate affected area while re-pressurizing the remainder of the system.![]()

I had the privilege of sharing the stage with City Manager Dr. Zachary Flores, Juan Carlos Ruck from H-E-B, and Sherman’s own Will Cain from Fox News. Presenting Will with a key to the city was a true honor, and we celebrate his remarkable achievements together as a community.
